Best trick I ever found for an old engine. Occasionally after that you should use a few ounces of oil to maintain a clean engine. After the engine returns to normal you should change your oil and install new filter and oil. I will bet that you have hydraulic lifters in your engine. this is messy but the best way to adjust them. If it is solid lifters you will have to go online to find out what the clearance should be and you then remove a valve cover and with wrenches and feeler gauges you adjust them with the engine running. I have done this many many times with success on the older engines. It will clean the lifters and make them pump up like they are supposed to and they will quieten back to normal and you will regain your lost power. Go to Walmart and buy a quart of Marvel Mystery oil and pour it in yur crankcase with your oil. If they are Hydraulic and they are tapping bad, there is a very simple easy fix. In any case, I'll go back and hit the car for what I can and list it here before anyplace else, with a HAMB deal price.Number one - why are you needing to adjust your valves? At least anything else that has power windows those get all the use and get broken the most. I would imagine if it's there, if they had one, the 4-spot power window switch the driver usually has at his disposal is worth getting too. The only bright side is I've seen stuff sit here for over a year, they had two late Corvairs I picked stuff off from in fall 2009 that were still there in November and finally gone this time around.Īfter the 80 billion screws holding that rear seat in taken out by hand because I didn't have a cordless drill with me, I can probably manage the power window gears, as long as you can pull them from a dead car - not allowed to put a battery on them to take that stuff apart. 64-66 THUNDERBIRD A/C Fan Blower Switch AC Air Conditioning Ford T-B(Fits: 1964 Ford Thunderbird) 75.00 13.65 shipping AC EVAPORATOR DEFROST COVER DASH PANEL VENT FORD THUNDERBIRD OEM 64-66 1964-1966 (1) 45. A shame, really, the car is straight and solid otherwise, but the state's gotten fussy with the VINs so once it's in and the number turned over, that's it. Not as bad as the one '85 Camaro I looked in, that had no floorpan at all, but pretty weak. Not sure what to think on the seat motor, it looks okay, but the left rear floor was weak enough I was afraid my foot would go right through.

Not sure how good it will be - they tossed two transmissions in the car with the right bucket kind of on top of them, so there might be some damage to the right rear of it. I figured all of them did, though, or at least all the ones with the bucket seat interior.
